According to the Special Adviser to the President on Social Investments, Maryam Uwais, in a statement issued to DAILY POST on Wednesday and titled “Lawan, Gbajabiamila Got It Wrong”, it was quite unfortunate that these false narratives were attributed to the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila.during the time it was under the supervision of the Office of the Vice President.
The statement read: “While the total appropriation by the National Assembly from inception, for the four NSIPs, is N1.7 trillion, the actual funds released for the NSIPs between January 2016 and October 2019 , amounted to N619.1 billion, constituting 36.4% of the total appropriation from the NASS. “As at September 2019, the funds had expended as follows: On the: Job Creation programme ; National Home Grown School Feeding Programme ; the National Cash Transfer Programme 1,491,296 poor and vulnerable households comprising 6,056,872 individuals in 33 States and 620,947 cash transfer beneficiaries; and the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme ; a total of 2,279,380 TraderMoni, MarketMoni and FarmerMoni beneficiaries.
“The utilization of the BVN for N-Power beneficiary payment is also as a means of identity and to facilitate the tracking of payments and further ensure accountability.” The Presidency added that, “The process involves a poverty mapping of the LGAs in each State, community mobilization, targeting and identification supported by trained enumerators at State and LGA levels, after which each of the households identified by the communities is visited and data collated.
Nigeria is a country with an unfortunate leaders and unfortunate presidency.
Which of the president.
So how do you come about your list, how comprehensive is your distribution list? What are the parameters? What is the geographical spread?'
The headline is just a way to distract the public that our legislature are under the control of the executive Rubber stamp legislature
These 2 lawmakers are observant. Una just dey share money to una region & it's people under the guise that you are reaching out to help the poorest of the poor & the vulnerable in the society. The other regions are left out, esp., the Eastern/Southern/Western parts.
Why must it be presidency everytime, what about the president himself ?
Am in laughter at Apc e diots who claimed Saraki was the reason why there was no smooth running of governance between the executive and the senate. But today they are blasting their own special sons who they rigged into the senate and house of Representatives. Confused lots.
They re gud on DAT n will not b intimidated ...sureleaderz
Follow me I follow you back immediately
Expectedly
Who is this presidency? You mean dullard Garba and Adesina?
The truth is; our lawmakers want to control N-SIP the same way they controlled SURE-P, messed it up and looted all the money meant for it.
This is misleading headline only for clickbait. Presidency only addressed issues raised by leadership of NASS on NSIP. You know most Nigerians won't read but form opinions on your stupid headline.
The Presidency becomes a loose cannon anytime u grilled them or hold them accountable for their stewardship. Democracy is supposed to accommodate unrestrained checks &balances but bcos the presidency has diluted & can manipulate the other arms, you can't criticise the presidency.
Ahhh! They don't like truth to be told to power.
Time to air dirty linens?
We need generation of new leaders with new ideas
lol
This government is an expert in making exceptional comedy.
The only free and fair thing Nigeria has ever done is the npower for youth......those got it had it without connection or knowing anyone in high places.....NGRSenate npower_ng femigbaja DrAhmadLawan HouseNGR NigeriaGov WHO WBG_Poverty
There's no mention as to when the npower_ng will receive March stipend
There's no mention as to when the npower_ng beneficiaries will receive March stipend
So characteristic of the presidency to attack anyone with a view different from theirs. The Presidentcy in Nigeria is always right and infallible, but the question remains...Who is the Presidency? Babachir Lawal once asked this same question and we laughed it off.
Sorry who is presidency?
