The Peoples Democratic Party and a former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar have demanded more attention to the welfare of soldiers and their families in Nigeria.

They made this statement separately in commemoration of this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day.The PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Hon Debo Ologunagba, in a statement issued on Saturday, also demanded that the government took steps to provide the military with adequate equipment as well as improve the welfare of the troops to ensure effectiveness in their duty to the nation.
