The Osun State government has dismissed rumour circulating about the government’s purported decision to pull down the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola’s campaign house in the state capital, Osogbo.
On Friday, an aide of the former governor, Wale Alabi who is the leader of internet soldier of the minister in a Facebook post alleged that the current administration has taken a decision to revoke the Certificate of Occupancy of the Oranmiyan House, and subsequently demolish it.
“Governor Oyetola is known in Osun and beyond as a fine gentleman, driven by the passion to make Osun better. He is a man who builds, he does not pull down. “At no point was the idea mooted at the meeting of the Executive Council to revoke the certificate of occupancy of Oranmiyan House or to demolish the structure. Executive Council meetings are for serious matters of governance, issues that translate to greater values to the welfare and wellbeing of citizens.
“Governor Oyetola’s administration will not be distracted by the desperate falsehood and negative energy of frightened politicians who are working hard to create tension where none existed.”
