A top security source, who pleaded anonymity told our correspondent that the immediate cause of the crisis was a misunderstanding that started at the venue of end of the year carnival.
He however added that the clashes between the parties involved in the crisis was not unconnected with the tussle over Onigbaye stool. He further explained that the causality of the clash, a man, after he was shot, was rushed to a hospital in Okuku, where he eventually gave up the ghost. “The crisis started during a end of the year carnival. The details is not available yet, but from findings, the remote cause of the crisis was not unconnected with the Onigbaye stool.
“A man was shot and he was rushed to a hospital in Okuku, where he was declared dead. Police operatives, Amotekun corps and local hunters have been deployed to the community,” the source concluded.
