The Interim Management Committee has fixed December 1 as kick-off date for the 2022/23 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

The season will end in May 2023 to enable the Nigerian football calendar align with that of Europe and rest of the world.The body met top officials of the Nigeria Television Authority in Abuja on Wednesday to discuss modalities on how to transmit the matches live.Both teams are currently campaigning in the CAF Confederation Cup.
