The National Orientation Agency (NOA), has charged community leaders and key stakeholders in Imo State to sanction all those who are complicit in the

NOA said persons, who perpetrate political thuggery, kidnapping, rape, religious and violent extremism often saturate themselves with hard drugs, effectively deadening their humanity.

The NOA Director called for surveillance in every community to curb the drug abuse menace noting that it had led to other social vices such as kidnapping, rape and religious extremism. The director said the clubs will serve as a sustained reorientation measure to keep students and youths at speed with ethical values and draw them away from destruction.

Presenting a paper titled the effect of drug abuse on citizens and national development, the State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Mr Reuben Apeh also called for aggressive sensitisation.
