Nigerians in Diaspora can’t vote until we amend the Constitution – Gbajabiamila

Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives, says that constitutional amendment is needed before Nigerians in diaspora can be allowed to vote.He said that millions of Nigerians, who resided outside the country, had as much a stake in the present and future of Nigeria as those who lived in the country.

Before we talk of diaspora voting can we have a situation where our votes actually count here because as at today that's not the case. I suggest we synchronise our various identifications such as NIN, FRSC, TIN, International passport, BVN and PVC so we can can have 1 man 1 vote.

I see nothing or not good idea in Diasporic voting other than adding salt to a wound. To Mr. Yakubu, take good notes that our future generations shall remind your children of this ungratefulness. Keep on creating new names in the name of election system voting. Let's return home

Lets focus on improving the credibility of our domestic voting systems, pls.
