Buhari govt ready to allow Nigerians abroad vote – Presidency

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo said this in Abuja on Monday, at a Stakeholders’ Workshop organised by the council.

Represented by Femi Ojudu, Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political Matters, Osinbajo said that the current administration had endorsed diaspora voting. He said there was need for all stakeholders “to approach and work with the National Assembly to amend the constitution in order to accommodate those in diaspora to vote during our elections.

“This now goes to the legislature to make this a reality, namely: an amendment of the laws by the National Assembly so that those in the diaspora can vote in future elections. “In the words of the President in Addis Ababa, `you will need to convince the National Assembly to amend the relevant laws to make diaspora voting a reality’,” Osinbajo added.

Does it mean police and soldiers will not shoot voters and snatch ballot boxes?

Get outta there, errand boy. What has your govt done with the votes within the country, what changes can the votes abroad make to dead jungle called Nigeria.

Has he allowed votes of those of us in Nigeria to count?

Because you people know that you're not coming back to power why didn't you allow it in the 2019 elections, thief's blood sucker , demons in human form, fake pastor

Needless. Votes in Nigeria don’t count, so also votes from diaspora will equally not count.

Just give us free and fair election let our local votes count before our brothers in Niger and Chad will come on board.....nhmmmm

𝕴𝖘 𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖘 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖎𝖘𝖚𝖊 𝖔𝖓 𝖌𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖉?

It will Never happen because of the insincerity of Nigeria leadership and nasty ethnic based politics. The local politicians cannot rig the votes from abroad because it is a powerful voice

This government should just remain muted until they pass out. No body is expecting anything from this Government. Just quietly enjoy your tenure and pack out please😥😥😥😥 I wander what EFCC is doing they should be going for this government because they are the biggestFraudstrs

This is a plan to rig 2023 elections in favour of OfficialAPCNg.

Tweetwizzard Another rigging level to be unlocked

Who so ever is willing to, should visit home and our vote should count

Tweetwizzard Yinmu...una dey do ojoro for the votes in Nigeria..and still think we don't know you will do same with abroad votes

Rigging incorporated.

Actually no body expects anything anymore from Buhari and his government, he should just quietly complete his time and go home

VP burials and markets, tell your Oga to sign the amended Electoral Bill into law. The senate and INEC said Nigeria is not ripe for diaspora voting. Who asked him to talk? 🤷🏾‍♂️

Pikin wey no reach tie wrapper, when wind blows e go carry both the pikin and the wrapper. We have not been able to conduct a meaningful election here where votes really counts, its now the diasporans votes that will make a difference. Rubbish and infantile government ever

We will vote you and Buhari out

They hardly count the ones in Nigeria correctly how much more the ones from overseas!

This one na mumu
