The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps says it has deployed 1, 258 personnel ahead of Okowa father’s burial and the coronation of the Olu of Warri.A statement by the Command Public Relations Officer, DSC Peters Okwechime, revealed that the Commandant approved the deployment of personnel.
“The Commandant approved 758 officers to provide air tight security coverage for the burial ceremony of the Governor’s late fathers Burial in Owa-Oyibo and 500 personnel for the coronation ceremony of the Olu of Warri on the 21st of August 2021 simultaneously. “The NSCDC boss said that the personnel were drafted from the Rapid Response Team, Counter Terrorism Unit, Armed Squad, Agro Rangers, the Intelligence and Investigation Unit and the Tactical Squad.
