Ministerial Screening: Ogbonnaya Onu advocates commercialisation of research findings

The former Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, has stressed the need for Nigeria to commercialise research findings.

When asked what would be his focus if he is re-appointed the minister of science and technology, he said one of the things his ministry wanted to achieve was to promote research findings. “When the satellite had problems, the Chinese replaced that satellite. So at no point was it lost,” he said.

Funding of research is what FG should put in place, because science and technology is all about research and findings and its application.
