Adebayo Adelabu News

Northeast

More voices have joined the call for the resignation of the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu following the persistent power outage in the Northeast geo-political zone of the country.

The most recent of such calls is a legal luminary from Taraba State Bilyaminu Maihanchi, who in an open letter on Sunday, publicly demanded the immediate resignation of the Minister for allegedly failing to restore power to the Northeast region.

'The people of the Northeast have suffered for far too long without access to reliable electricity, hindering economic development, healthcare, education, and overall well-being.' Maihanchi called for accountability, suggesting that the minister's resignation could pave the way for more effective leadership. He said his demand for the Minister's resignation underscores a growing sentiment that change is needed at the highest levels of the power sector to address these challenges.
