NANS,NNPCL,Power Minister

As Nigerians continue to grapple with epileptic power supply and fuel scarcity, the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Bauchi Axis, has added its voice to calls for the dismissal of the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu and the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited, Mele Kyari.

The Association made the call on Tuesday during a protest at the Bauchi Press Centre. Addressing journalists, the North East Coordinator of Protest, Mohammed Sani Hassan said that the failure of the two key government appointees to effectively perform their roles had brought more hardship to the common man, with students bearing the brunt. According to him, “It has become so hard to transport ourselves to our various campuses. We are at the receiving end of this hardship.

' Also speaking, the Chairman of the Joint Campus Committee of NANS, Bauchi Axis, Usman Abubakar Mansur, said that the economic hardship in the country should be urgently addressed. “The skyrocketing prices of essential commodities, coupled with the persistent scarcity of electricity and the exorbitant rates of electricity units have created an unbearable burden on the shoulders of the Nigerian populace.
