The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has stated that the Lekki Deep Sea Port would become operational in the third quarter of 2023.

Sanwo-Olu stated this on Wednesday at the opening ceremony of the maiden edition of the Lekki Peninsula Region Conference and Expo 2021 organised by the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives in collaboration with Lekki Development Ventures.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Governor called on investors to take advantage of the economic incentives attached to the Lekki axis of the state. He added, “Multi-billion dollar investments, both foreign and local, are springing up within the zone and axis. As you are aware, the Lekki axis is on the verge of being home to Africa’s biggest oil refinery and it is expected to be operational soon.

Buhari’s exit in 2023, solution to Nigeria’s problems – AfenifereThe pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, on Tuesday, said neither the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari(retd.). nor his party, the All Progressives Congress, can solve the problems facing the country. Nigeria problem is now on auto pilot, i pity for the next president he has a lot of work to do. I am sure Afenifere will come out in the morning and say they didn’t say that. It was a fraction that said so I remember many months ago and up till last year, all of Nigeria's problems were caused by Alhaji Abba Kyari, the President's former chief of staff. But then he exited the scene via death. But the problems survived him. Stubborn problems!
