“Lagos has been the epicentre of the COVID-19 virus in the country since the first case within our borders was discovered on the 27th of February 2020.
“Following this event, the state has recorded 77,695 cases which is 40% of the cases seen in the country. “To mitigate the rate of infection and severity, we increased our COVID PCR testing capacity, improved access to medical grade oxygen, and expanded our isolation capacity. “I salute the health workers that have been diligently and steadfastly administering the COVID-19 vaccines, and I assure them that their hard work is recognized and appreciated. ”
Sanwo-Olu reassured that the vaccines were the best options to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, urging all individuals to visit vaccination centres to get their jabs.
