A former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law, Mr Olumide Akpata, has advocated a review of the Nigerian Law School curriculum to reflect the current realities in today’s l

egal practice.

Akpata, in a chat with journalists, also called for a change of orientation among lawyers not to limit themselves to dispute resolution, an area of legal practice, he said, had become saturated. “But unfortunately, young people who look up to their elders are being told that if you want to succeed in this profession, wear your wig and your gown. So, what is the effect? We are all operating in a small corner called dispute resolution, litigation and we have left the rest.

🙆‍♂️ what's not outdated in the education system of this country is strike, sex 4 grades and pornstar models called students

Everything about our educational system is out dated.

Is it just the law school? Even right down to kindergarten. Imagine when I was in school, my lecturer(Professor) was using his own note from when he was in school(decades ago) to lecture.

not law school curriculum alone. as it is now our tertiary institution curriculum is outdated.

It's obvious in what they dish to us these days.
