The decision to support those living with HIV is based on the vulnerability of the people living with the virus and the fact that Lagos is on lockdown. HIV AIDS Coronavirus Covid19

To cushion the effect of the lockdown occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and Total Upstream Nigeria Limited with its partners have joined forces together to support people living with Human Immunodeficiency Virus in Lagos with bags of palliatives.

Ajukura, who represented the Managing Director, Mr. Mike Sangster, said the decision to support those living with HIV is based on the vulnerability of the people living with the virus and the fact that Lagos is on lockdown, thus the decision to support them with some welfare palliatives such as food items and livelihood support to enable them to comply with the stay-at-home order.

While welcoming the dignitaries, Executive Secretary Nigeria Business Coalition Against AIDS , Gbenga Alabi, commended the various partners for the initiative and consistent support of NiBUCAA in its various advocacy programmes. Meanwhile, Cycology Club has donated Personal Protective Equipment to the Eti-Osa COVID-19 Isolation Centre jointly set up by the Lagos State government and Young Presidents Organisation for the treatment of coronavirus patients in the state. The club also provided palliatives to street sweepers in Lagos to cushion the effect of the lockdown on the beneficiaries.
