But in a statement by President of the NLC, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, the Congress stated it was most unthinkable that government would be contemplating to unilaterally slash the salaries of Nigerian workers at this time. “The proposed slash in salaries is certainly not targeted at the minimum wage and consequential adjustment in salaries that some callous State Governors are still dragging their feet to pay!

Let them cut the salaries and reduce the number of political appointees in both federal and state as well cut allowances, salaries of NASS not civil servant that contribute in economy of the country
