Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps have discovered an unconscious man dumped by kidnappers near a pond in Jigawa state.
Shehu said the victim, a resident of Garki LGA, was kidnapped along the Dutse-Kiyawa road on Wednesday after withdrawing N800,000 from a bank. Boarding the car with other passengers, the victim said he was taken to an unknown location, where he found himself with other hostages. Efforts made by the kidnappers to get N5 million ransom from the family proved abortive after the victim warned his family not to pay any ransom.
