The Commandant General (CG) of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ahmed Abubakar Audi has expressed commitment towards safe schools in the country.

Represented by Lagos State Commandant of the Corps, Edenabu Okoro Eweka, the Commandant General noted that the school safety initiative, has drastically reduced insecurity in schools, with the formation of Special Female Squad , which was recently inaugurated by the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

While giving an appraisal of NSCDC’s roles and achievements in the project, he said there is notable reduction in social vices and insecurity in schools throughout the federation.
