National Council of Muslim Youths Organisation has charged the federal and state governments to address the growing insecurity in the country with job creation through deliberate provision of enabling environment.

The NACOMYO Coordinator in Ekiti State, Mudasiru Yusuf, who bemoaned the increasing joblessness in the country, particularly among youths, said, “Youth unemployment has implications for national security. Therefore, youth joblessness must be tackled head on.” The Muslim youth leader, who spoke in Ado Ekiti at a lecture delivered by the Imam, Ondo State Government House Mosque, Akure, Imam Sheikh Yusuf Abdulahi Anola, titled, ‘Transformative and unifying governance: Looking beyond religious prejudice’, organised to celebrate Hijrah, the Islamic New Year, said Nigeria needed credible leadership to be able to overcome the myriads of challenges facing it.

Yussuf lamented that the country had been battling insecurity of lives and properties, absence of peace, wrong parenting, political instability, economic hardship, corruption, injustice, extrajudicial killings, insurgency, kidnapping, banditry and other forms of social vices. “There is no doubt that credible leadership is the only means of ensuring attainment of peace, good living and pleasure, both in this world and in the hereafter, not religion bias,” the NACOMYO leader said.

Very true. When the government rendered their work force (youths ) useless, the enemy in the name of nonstates actors will surely make them useful for their individual needs which in turn results in insecurity.

You’re missing the point, don’t get me wrong…creating job for the youth is fantastic, but these are imported terrorists from across Africa, as were invited by Buhari and his cohorts.
