The Trade Union Congress, has urged the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to desist from lamentations and act swiftly on the increasing cases of insecurity bedeviling the country.

The union also called on the Nigerian military and the entire security chiefs to act double-quick on insecurity to prevent greater recurrence.

The TUC President, Festus Osifo, made this known on Friday while presiding over the National Administrative Council, Central Working Committee, and National Executive Council meeting of the union in Abuja. Osifo was reacting to the outburst of the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, claiming that bandits were running a parallel government in his state.

He said, “Only recently, the Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir El-rufai complained that bandits are running a parallel government within his state by collecting tax returns from local communities, especially farmers, such a scenario shows that we have lost it as a nation, NEC in Council hereby call on the Nigerian government, the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari , to desist from lamentations and act swiftly.
