The Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) on Wednesday revealed that the owners of the three high-rise blocks including the collapsed 21-storey

building located in the Ikoyi area of the state did not obtain provisional approval before they started construction.

Odugbemi, who was questioning the managing director of Prowess Engineering Nigeria Ltd, Muritala Olawale, said the construction began months before the provisional approval.

If Ikoyi building didn't get approval, then many building didn't get approval..

The supervising agency should also be sanctioned. How did a building without approval get to that building stage without been detected?
