Ahead of 2023 general elections, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has urged its members to get their voter cards to avoid disenfranchisement.

Speaking at the inauguration of the executives of PFN Lagos Island Province, at the weekend, the Lagos State Chairman of PFN, Enyinnaya Okwuonu, said the church has the solution to the nation’s problems; hence the nation must look up to the church for the answer.

He appealed to members to pay their taxes, be loyal and submissive to the government in power “because every government is put there by God.” Beyond praying, he added, there is something the church should do. “In a country where there are no values, anything goes. The family is the nucleus of every society. In PFN, we have a directorate in charge of children and teens, and directorate for youths, to ensure that people get to understand values.

On his part, the in-coming chairman of PFN, Lagos Island Province, Rev. Tony Samson, urged Nigerians to understand that diversity is a blessing and not an anomaly. He asserted that diversity is strength and beautiful, adding: “Nigerians don’t understand this. My strength is different from your strength; but when we come together, my strength cancels your weakness, then we achieve more with our diversity.”
