Sylva, who stated that plans were underway to achieve this as soon as possible, also declared 2020 as the year of gas for the nation.
The petroleum minister told the executive management of the Nigeria Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association, led by the association’s President, Nuhu Yakubu, that the Federal Government had increased efforts to grow the nation’s liquefied petroleum gas industry, as well as deepen the utilisation of LPG in Nigeria.
On the agreements between NNPC and Chevron, NNPC’s Group Managing Director, Mele Kyari, while speaking at a sign-off meeting in Abuja, said CNL would boost the domestic gas market with 400mmscf per day gas supply, equivalent to 26 per cent of total domestic gas supply across the country. The Chief Executive Officer, CNL, who was represented by the Director, NNPC/Chevron Nigeria Limited Joint Venture, Monday Ovuede, said the project would open up opportunities for gas commercialisation and monetisation in the oil and gas industry.Ovuede said one of the values would include provision of clean and environmentally friendly energy, as he assured of his organisation’s commitment to foster mutually beneficial relationship with the corporation in the energy sector.
What is wrong with these people self... Who did we really offend.
This how prepaid metres started
Anything short of linking gas supply to various homes is nonsensical. Utilize the money to replace old cylinders on Rail project. Leave the already existing supply chain as it is and make the gas cheaper. Don't create avenues to enrich yourselves.
None of it is achievable in Ogun state , laying of gas pipe to houses and distributing of gas cylinder because there's no proper layout and names of street on maps . Eg mowe / ibafo
Let them use that money to invest more on rail Project instead.
There seems to be a direct relationship between being a public office holder and misplaced priorities. So someone will just start replacing people's old gas cylinders in a country of more than 200 million people? Most of these guys have no idea what they shd be doing. It's sad.
As per say govt na father Christmas. Some people are about to hammer
They will replace it with fulani also?
At whose expense?
Laughable, who did this to our leaders? They make statements that even in 100yrs in govt, they will not do. Do you know the cost of embarking on such, unless buhari wants to borrow $30Billion to fund the project.
HETimipreSylva all talk and no action. It's common place in this civilmilitary regime of MBuhari .
See them na gas cylinders be issue na another avenue to steal from Nigerians pocket
Audio replacement😂. Misplaced priority! 'When the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable' - Myles Munroe
What was that?
We no want cylinder.connect gas to every home n make it cheaper than kerosene.Teach d masses how to use gas safely n leave a mark in Nigeria.
Nope. This idea is to enrich some folks.
What are you people smoking?
Is that government business, or private institutions that supply gas....why do weove wasting government resources ; bu getting involved in business that is not owns, you can regulate and instruct and enforce, but not invest public resource to other people's business
Ibe Kachukwu said the same thing when he was the Head of NNPC and Minister of State for Petroleum, but couldn't get close. Sylva is starting his own version nw. Stop promising us projects that are not ready. Be practical.
I wonder what HETimipreSylva is bunking on
Koshi lọ jọ.
