The governor made the commitment yesterday, at the certification dinner/induction ceremony for the 4th batch of participants in the Akwa Ibom State Youths Entrepreneurial Development Programme tagged, ‘My Entrepreneurship Goals Programme .’
Governor Emmanuel, who was represented at the event by the honourable commissioner for Trade and Investment, Otuekong Ukpong Akpabio said through the Akwa Ibom State Youths Entrepreneurial Development Programme, the state government has demonstrated its readiness to properly equip her citizens with entrepreneurial skills so as to enable them play in the big leagues of business and enterprise.
The governor also hinted that the state government would continue with the MEGP trainings beyond the 4th batch. In his remarks, the senior special assistant to the governor on Marketing and Brand Management, Mr Ime Uwah, lauded governor Emmanuel for his passion for youths’ development, and entrepreneurial education, epitomised in the conceptualisation and execution of the Akwa Ibom State Youths Entrepreneurial Development Programme.
