The Federal Government yesterday directed that food markets in Lagos, Ogun and the Federal Capital Territory would be allowed to open daily for four hours, from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m.

This was contained in the guidelines realeased for the implementation of the lockdown policy approved by President Muhammadu Buhari to curtail the spread of coronavirus in the country.

It explained that for the period of the lockdown, every person would be confined to his or her place of residence unless strictly for the purpose of performing an essential service, obtaining an essential good or service, or seeking medical care. Other measures are: Mass gathering is prohibited, except for funeral services as guided by infection prevention and control regulations, for which social distancing rules apply and crowds are limited to not more than 20 persons.

Retail shops and malls must be closed except where essential goods are sold. Shops and malls that are open must enforce social distancing and hygiene measures in line with issued guidelines.

Not everyday but every 48 hours

Is the lockdown relaxed? Could there not be transmission within that period if allowed? Who monitors what during the time frame?

Good one but let this social distancing be monitored and maintain, this Corona virus is not a joke

This is a joke... Does CoronaVirus have hours of spreading?.. shutdownTotally

This idea is for them to steal the donated billions, share it among their relatives...

They implemented the idea just because they can't make provisions for people and won't there be contact during this 4 hours daily while people are marketing 2023 is close by and they will start sharing 5 hundred to 1k for campaign and 2 noodles each, ppu will start rushing 4 it

Were is the money 💰 💰 to buy food

Oh my God, Nigerians are confused. Now you have increased chances of transmission since everyone will rush within the limited hours to meet his needs, and that will increase crow and clashes in the market.
