In a daring operation, the Federal Capital Territory police command has thwarted a child trafficking plot, rescuing five minors from the clutches of suspected traffickers.
“The suspects, who initially attempted to escape arrest from Sokoto police operatives, were finally apprehended by our eagle-eyed officers in Abuja,” Adeh said. “We are working closely with our counterparts in Sokoto to ensure that the children are safely returned to their loved ones,” said CP Benneth C. Igweh, Commissioner of Police, FCT Command.
The police commissioner reiterated the command’s commitment to combating child trafficking and other crimes in the FCT. “We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of all residents, especially our children,” he emphasized.
