The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory, FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh says the command has received the N20 million bounty earlier placed on two notorious kidnappers by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike. The Commissioner made this known in a statement issued on Thursday by the spokesperson of the command, SP Josephine Adeh.

Adeh said the commissioner expressed 'heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the management and personnel of the FCT Police Command for the kind gesture of the honorable minister, FCT , Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike , for fulfilling his promise to the Command'.

recalls that the Minister on February 14, 2024, placed a bounty of N20 million on two notorious and most wanted kidnappers in the FCT. The wanted criminal elements had since been arrested by operatives of the FCT command. According to the CP, the implementation of such measures reflected 'the minister's leadership and responsiveness to the security and safety of residents.
