The Ekiti State Hospitals Management Board has commenced the process of recruiting medical doctors into the state health institutions. The move is sequel to the approval given by Governor Biodun Oyebanji to the board to fill existing vacancies in the Ekiti State general and specialist hospitals.

A statement made available to newsmen from the office of the Permanent Secretary, Ekiti State Hospitals' Management Board in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, said interested applicants must possess relevant medical certificates such as MBBS, a recent practising licence, a certificate of full registration and a discharge certificate or exemption letter from the National Youths Service Corps, NYSC.

recalls that a few months ago, Governor Biodun Oyebanji had increased the salary of all health workers in the state via the implementation of the Consolidated Medical Salary Scale, CONMESS, the Consolidated Health Salary Scale, CONHESS, and the payment of a 100 per cent hazard allowance for medical doctors and other health workers.
