Eight arrested for illegally procuring solid minerals in Kaduna

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps , Kaduna State Command has said it has intercepted a truck with illegally procured solid minerals and arrested eight suspects.

State Commandant, Mrs Lucy Fakoya, disclosed this at a press briefing on Monday in Kaduna. She said that on April 19, 2024, the corps operatives had intercepted a truck around Tudun Wada, Kafanchan, in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State at about 2100 hours loaded with 37 tonnes of solid mineral product called MICA, mostly used by cosmetics industries valued at approximately N9, 250.000 According to her, investigation has revealed that the product was illegally procured.
