The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) says it has deployed about 750 of its personnel to join other security agencies in Akwa Ibom State to

The personnel were drawn from the Armed Squad, Agro Rangers, Anti-Vandal Squad, Special Female Squad, Counter terrorism squad and operatives of the Intelligence department.

He therefore charged the unit Commanders across the state to increase patrol in the state capital and other local government areas and respond promptly to any incidence of breach of peace. He said, “To ensure a hitch-free Easter celebration in the state, the Command has ordered the immediate deployment of 750 personnel of the corps to join other security agencies to provide water-tight security all through the Easter celebration and beyond.
