Professor of Virology at the University of Ibadan and former Vice Chancellor of Redeemers’ University, Ede, Osun State, Oyewale Tomori, has called on scientists in the country to deploy their knowledge in solving societal problems, including the Coronavirus Disease .

Tomori stated this during the 79th interdisciplinary research discourse of the university themed ‘Science, Scientists and Society’ at the Trenchard Hall of the institution. Speaking on the sidelines of the event, the don said scientists, science and the society needed one another, because the scientist is to use science to improve society.
