Yesterday April 11, at exactly 9:30pm, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control announced a total of 318 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria through its website and verified social media accounts. However, a further look at the data released by the NCDC shows that the number of discharged patients are under-reported which, without much ado, renders the number released for active cases inaccurate.
However, the NCDC on April 11 recorded zero discharged for Bauchi State with six cases instead of four.: Ekiti has recorded two cases and all the two patients had recovered and discharged but NCDC recorded one discharged for the state. As at 10:30pm April 11, records from isolation centres across Nigeria showed that the county has recorded 86 discharged patients contrary to 70 reported by the NCDC.
Discharged cases were symptomatic patients from isolation centres, your observations were asymptomatic individuals that were in self isolation n later became negative Stop feeding d public inaccurate information
These ppl were busy telling the whole world they were prepared we will know soon. Besides they don't even give us the number of total daily test done but in public and private institutions if any and that seem improper.
That is a good observation and there is urgent need to streamline this discrepancy.
Daily life during a pandemic means social distancing and finding new ways to remotely connect with friends, family and co-workers. And as we communicate online and by text, artificial intelligence could play a role in keeping our conversations on track.
We are not known for keeping accurate data.
Why are they under-reporting the discharge cases? What do they stand to gain by doing that? Are we even sure the data released so far is the real situation of things? Everything in this country has K-leg.. Tueh!
Nothing works in this country
