The National Academy of Science, which acts as a scientific advisor to the Federal Government of Nigeria, made the call in a statement by its president, Mosto Onuoha.
The Government is just being foolish and stupid about the whole Covid-19 issue. We need total lockdown now. Same way they delayed in closing our airport's because of their children who have eventually infected us with the virus.

Locking down Nigeria will be synonymous to inviting civil unrest.thousands don't even have homes to be locked in to, talk less of how to feed millions during the lockdown. Instead of genuinely closing all borders and airspace they want to starve us to death.
Locking down Nigeria is different from locking down some other countries in the West. Can the government cater for it's people during lockdown? How will people eat and survive.
When advising the FG try to include how we are going to survive... They should send money to 40million Register BVN account number. With that lockdown will be advisable
