families of two prominent citizens, Dr Datti Ahmed, a doctor, politician and religious leader and Ado Gwaram, a notably committed public servant who served the state two times as Secretary to the State Government, SSG.
On the late Ado Gwaram, the President described him as an extraordinary civil servant who “was at the forefront of many community service initiatives. He inspired countless young people. He had personal integrity which was unimpeachable and spoke truth to power. On account of these, he rightfully enjoyed the respect and patronage of every administration, military and civilian in the old and new Kano State. May Allah repose his soul.
The delegation was received in Kano by the Secretary to the State Government, Usman Alhaji, who received the President’s letter of condolence to the government and people of Kano State. At Dr Datti’s residence, the delegation was received by a large number of scholars and contemporaries of the deceased, including Professor Ibrahim Umar, Sheikh Ibrahim Khaleel and Imam Dr. Bashir Aliyu.
