The Nigerian first citizen, who is invited by UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, graced the event, jointly hosted by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada and his Jamaican counterpart, Andrew Holness, to brainstorm with over 50 others on sharpening and accelerating the global response to the economic and human impacts of the novel coronavirus.

The gathering, which also seeks to advance solutions to the developing emergency, was equally attended by African Union chairman and South African resident, Cyril Ramaphosa. Those with Buhari at the forum were the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama; his Finance, Budget and National Planning colleague, Zainab Ahmed; Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, as well as the two presidential spokesmen, Femi Adesina and Garba Shehu.
