Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Edo State chapter, yesterday, called on women journalists to upgrade their academic qualifications for future opportunities and contributions to national development.

Secretary, Edo State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists , Andy Egbon ; Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki; Chairman, Edo State Council of NUJ, Festus Alenkhe; Chairperson, Edo State Council of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists , Adesuwa Ehimuan, during a courtesy visit to Government House in Benin City… yesterday.

She said: “Women are intelligent and if you all develop your digital intelligence and sustain it, I tell you, women, in no time, will overtake men. Women are smart and if given the opportunity to deliver on deadline, women deliver on deadline and they are more honest than men.” Earlier, Blessing Eromo, who spoke on Criminal Justice, acknowledged the importance of media in enlightening the public on access to justice.
