An indigenous charity organisation, International Women’s Society (IWS) Nigeria, has appointed Hungarian-born Izabella Abia-Okon as her 66th President at the organisation’s yearly event tagged, ‘IWS Renaissance 2023’.

Abia-Okon, a director at the Nigerian-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce in Lagos, brings to bear over 30 years of leadership experience serving in various capacities and organisations, with a wealth of wisdom in managing a business set-up involving Hungary and Nigeria; to develop an awareness of Hungary and its vast English university programmes.

The prestigious position of IWS Nigeria’s president this year affords IWS charity programmes the benefit of more international presence and support. The investiture, which was held recently was chaired by Lanre Tejuoso, her long-time business partner.Exco members invested at the event included Olabisi Alokolaro ; Ifeoma Monye ; Nkoli Obi-Ogbolu ; Ibiwunmi Akinnola ; Ogechi Nwokedi ; Funmi Osibo ; Victoria Akpan and Seun Rasaki .
