The Governor of Cross River State, Prof Ben Ayade has relieved nine of his aides of their jobs. Four of them are commissioners.

Their sack was made known on Monday through a statement by the Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Publicity, Christian Ita. According to the statement, “The State Governor, His Excellency Prof Ben Ayade has approved the relieve of the following persons of their appointments: Mr Mike Usibe , Rita Ayim , Mr Asu Okang , and Ntufam Donatus Etim .

“Similarly, the underlisted persons have also been relieved of their appointments: Mr Leo Inyambe, Rt Hon Orok Otu Duke, Mr. Victor Okon , Mr John Etim Bassey and Hon Agbiji Mbeh Agbiji.”
