The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics on Sunday vowed to challenge the ban placed on unions in Edo State Government-owned tertiary institutions.

“It is a contradiction for a government installed through the globally acclaimed rights of freedom of expression and peaceful assembly which represent the core values of democracy to descend to such a level of intolerance to the same values.

“The Edo State Polytechnic Usen, which is the only polytechnic owned by the Edo State Government and currently under the direct ‘rulership’ of a certain Ag. Rector is one of the worst administered polytechnics in the country today.” The union added, “We condemn in totality this purported ban as it does not have the support of the law with labour being on the exclusive legislative list and clearly beyond the meddlesomeness of state governments.

“Our union shall challenge this to the full extent of the law, the same way we are challenging the same disposition by the Kogi state government.”All rights reserved. Fr. Is it your banning? Oya goan unban it ShehuSani is pushing a false narrative here. Mbaka's personal attack on PeterObi's was a campaign of calumny against him. It has nothing to do with his performance as a public office holder. Sheikh Khalid attacked Buhari's performance as a public office holder. Banning catholic faithfuls from Mbaka adoration is one and stop people from attending is another uphill task because we still have freedom of worship. And millions of catholic faithfuls and non catholic faithfuls love Mbaka adoration. Remember what happened when he went missing

They should have stripped him of his garment a long time ago. Mbaka is not an angel and he hasn’t had tea with Christ ever before so why do Catholics glorify him. To be candid, Mr Mbaka needs to go on retreat not out hatred but for his good, there is no doubt that the spirit of God has left him, he should go and seek the face of God.
