The All Progressives Congress, on Tuesday in Abuja, congratulated the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari for signing the Petroleum Industry Bill 2021 into law.

He, however, said the presidential assent to the PIB was a good way to start, especially after decades of groping in the dark in the oil industry. He appreciated them for their cooperation, which, he explained, ensured a successful legislative passage and subsequent presidential assent. This, he said, would be by providing legal, governance, regulatory and fiscal framework for the Nigerian petroleum industry, the development of host communities as well as offer new fiscal incentives to investors.
