Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said it secured 3,328 convictions from January to November this year (2022). The chairman of the commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa, disclosed this in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital, during a training workshop on financial crimes reporting for journalists in the Niger Delta region.

Bawa who also spoke on the recent court order the agency secured for the forfeiture of N775 million and landed properties linked to two former government officials said, “We also secured interim forfeiture of 40 assets in Nigeria, United States of America, London and Dubai belonging to former deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.
