Delta State Police Command says it has arrested five persons for allegedly impersonating officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Asaba, Delta State. It was learnt that the suspects were arrested in their hideout in a hotel in Asaba where they hibernate to plan their next operation. The suspects are Prince Allison, 29; George Chisom Onyeweagu, 29; Duke Okoro, 40; Joseph Osinachi, 23; and Onyocha Stanley, 32.

The police spokesman affirmed that six of their victims have identified them as members of the gang who broke into their houses under the guise of being EFCC operatives. "The victim further stated that on getting to the head bridge , they forcefully collected his phones from him, other valuables worth three million, seven hundred thousand naira , made cash transfer of two million, five hundred thousand naira and told him that they will come for him again.

"In compliance with this directive, on 23/11/2022, the Commander CP-Decoy ASP Julius Robinson, acting on credible information led operatives on a sting operation, trailed them to their hideout in a Hotel located in Asaba where they hibernate to plan their next operation and arrested five suspects namely; Prince Allison ‘m’ age 29 yrs, resident in port Harcourt and the leader of the syndicate claiming to be EFCC contract staff in Port Harcourt, George Chisom Onyeweagu ‘m’ 29 yrs resident in...
