Anglican Communion, Diocese on the Niger has banned the printing of brochure and ceremonial dresses aka `Asoebi’ during burial rites of its members at the diocese to reduce burial cost.

Ven. Ikechukwu Ihemtuge, Vicar in charge of St. Andrew’s Church, Obosi, disclosed this during the church service on Sunday in Obosi Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra.Ihemtuge said the diocese took the decision at its June 2019 synod of its 19 archdeaconry at Abatete, Idemili North Local Government Area of the state.

God bless them for this ban. Family make all these galore, uniforms, all the ceremonial and flashy creations for the dead? What will the living eat afterwards? It is getting more expensive and people are now wanting to outdo each other. Some families deplete assets to get money.
