The Corps Commander, Ekiti State Amotekun Corps, Brig.-Gen. Joe Komolafe (retd), has urged well-meaning people in the state and in the diaspora to invest more in the security outfit, to rid the state of crime.

Komolafe, who attributed the corp’s success to the efforts put in place by Governor Kayode Fayemi and other sister security networks in the state, and as well people’s support, said the crime rate had reduced to the barest minimum in the state.

The Amotekun boss urged residents to play their part in the fight against crime by reporting any suspicious movements or untoward activities in their areas to the security agencies and assisting the outfit with financial resources to ease the burden on the government. All rights reserved. CSO faults plan to merge NSCDC with Police | The Guardian Nigeria News - Nigeria and World NewsA Civil society organisation, Centre Against Injustice and Domestic Violence (CAIDOV) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari not to listen to calls to merge the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). They are well trained and the Nigerian policy needs more forces. Recruit them and offer then àgbàdo, corn, garri, yam and any other carbohydrates out there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. What functional differences do both have? They do the same thing with the police and should be merged! Federal Road Safety, should also be merged with the police and be a safety unit under the police and not be left doing nothing. Again I will prefer they should be scrap because I don't know their use! Just hanging on
