The girls were abducted on Friday from their hostels by gunmen known locally as bandits but were released early Tuesday after the latest mass kidnapping to target a school in Nigeria.
“But this morning after people had come out the DPO went round, informing people the curfew has been extended to round-the-clock and asked everyone to return home,” he told AFP. The girls were brought back to their school on Wednesday to be reunited with their parents before violence broke out.
