Multiple wildfires tore through Los Angeles, forcing thousands to evacuate and causing widespread damage to homes and businesses.

Wildfires ravaged parts of Los Angeles , destroying homes, clogging roadways, and straining resources early Wednesday. Flames from a fire that erupted near a nature preserve in the inland foothills northeast of LA spread rapidly, forcing staff at a senior living center to evacuate dozens of residents in wheelchairs and hospital beds. Another blaze consumed the Pacific Palisades neighborhood, a hillside area along the coast known for its celebrity residences.

Roadways became impassable as residents fled on foot, abandoning their vehicles. Emergency vehicles faced difficulties reaching the area due to the traffic jam until a bulldozer cleared a path. Extensive damage to homes and businesses was reported along the Pacific Coast Highway. A third wildfire erupted in Sylmar, prompting evacuations in the San Fernando Valley community. The causes of all three fires remain under investigation
