The Steelers honored the 1974 team that won Super Bowl IX
The Pittsburgh Steelers took advantage of a primetime appearance Sunday night to celebrate their first Super Bowl-winning team. The 1974 squad was at honored halftime of the 37-15 rout of the New York Jets.
Ten players from that team are members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Among those on hand were Lynn Swann, “Mean” Joe Greene, Mel Blount, Donnie Shell and John Stallworth.
