The Brook Park Police Blotter reports on a range of incidents, including the arrest of an intoxicated man, a bank account theft, and multiple assault reports.

A Cleveland man was arrested on January 2nd after causing a disturbance at the Bob Evans restaurant on Brookpark Road. Police received a call about a man acting erratically inside the restaurant and, while en route, were informed that the same man was at a nearby Shell station, attempting to steal candy. Officers located the man in a parking lot across from both establishments, attempting to crawl under a fence.

Upon apprehending him, police discovered used and unused syringes and candy bars in his possession. Due to his repeated instances of falling asleep, the man was transported to the police station in a cruiser, but paramedics were called to take him to Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights for further medical attention. \In a separate incident, a Remora man reported the theft of $7,100 from his bank account on December 31st. The victim's identity was stolen and used to modify personal information associated with his bank account. \Brook Park police responded to two assault reports. On January 4th, a Strongsville man stated that his ex-sister-in-law, a 45-year-old Brook Park resident, struck him on the head with a metal water bottle during an altercation at the Brook Park Recreation Center. The man declined to press charges but requested documentation of the incident. An unidentified man punched a Brook Park woman in the face during an argument at her West 130th apartment building on December 29th. The woman claimed a large crowd had gathered in the building and parking lot, and she was asking them to disperse when the assault occurred. Another man, who identified himself as the attacker's cousin, reported that the woman's husband had approached him with a knife but made no threatening remarks. Lastly, a Parma Heights man was driving a rental Jeep on Smith Road near Meigs Boulevard when the rear driver's-side tire detached, causing damage to a southbound Dodge Challenger in the adjacent lane.
