The Anantara Concorso Roma, a new exclusive concours dedicated to Italian automobiles, is set to debut in Rome from April 24th to 27th. This event promises to showcase the best of Italian automotive history, from vintage classics to modern marvels.
A new car storage space is being touted for its exceptional security, boasting features that even prevent car owners from accessing their vehicles. This development comes as Europe braces for a particularly harsh winter, with the warmer days and classic car season seemingly a distant memory. However, the anticipation for prestigious classic car shows like the Villa d’Este on Lake Como and the Anantara Concorso Roma is already building.
The latter, set to take place in Rome from April 24th to 27th, promises to be a standout event in Italy's classic car scene. Taking place in the heart of the Eternal City, the Anantara Concorso Roma will exclusively showcase Italian automobiles spanning various eras, from vintage pioneers to modern hybrids and electric models. The event welcomes both race cars and elegant examples that embody the quintessential Italian lifestyle. The inaugural lineup includes a 1963 Ferrari 275 P, a two-time Le Mans winner. The mastermind behind this new event is Bill Heinecke, founder of the Minor Hotels group, which owns the Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome. Exhibitors and attendees with top-tier packages will be accommodated at this luxury hotel. Cars will be displayed in the stunning gardens of the Casina Valadier, a neoclassical villa overlooking Rome. A panel of distinguished judges, led by Dr. Adolfo Orsi, a member of the Maserati founding family, will evaluate the vehicles. The panel also includes renowned experts like a classic-car historian and former CEO of Audrain Motorsport, Lorenzo Ramaciotti, former Pininfarina and Fiat Group designer, and Joanne Marshall from Ferrari.Applications for car inclusion are currently open, with hospitality packages ranging from the exclusive Romulus package (price yet to be announced) for exhibitors to a more accessible weekend pass to the villa grounds for €200 (approximately $208). Given the prestige of historic Italian cars expected to converge at this concours dedicated solely to them, within their nation's capital, attendees are guaranteed an unforgettable experience regardless of their chosen level of involvement. Ben Oliver, a world-renowned automotive journalist, is among those following this exciting development in the classic car world
